Filters can behave unexpectedly when misconfigured.

Not Affecting Charts

Filter and chart must share the same data source. With blended data, field names must match exactly.

RegEx Issues

Looker Studio uses RE2 — no lookbehind. Case-sensitive by default. Escape special characters. See RegEx guide.

Wrong Dropdown Values

Clean data at source. Use TRIM and UPPER in calculated fields.
