Sharing is where Looker Studio shines — and where most problems occur. Understanding the difference between report access, data source credentials and viewer permissions prevents 90% of sharing headaches. At Data Studio Experts, we configure these properly on every build.
Report vs Data Source Access
A report can be shared without sharing the underlying data source. Viewers see the charts; they do not get raw data access. But if credentials are set to "Viewer" instead of "Owner," each viewer needs their own access to the data source.
